The Cabildo Highway Area will continue during the next week with the improvement work of the TF-5 in the work sections focused on the Guajara and Los Rodeos areas, in the municipality of La Laguna.

The island councilor, Enrique Arriaga, recalls that this is one of the sections with the highest traffic density of the Autopista del Norte, for which he appreciates the prudence and caution of the drivers and recalls that the works “advance an average of one kilometer every every week and improve the safety of this important road every day”. Arriaga explains that “the results are already palpable and, despite the final layer still missing, the improvement in driving comfort has increased with the work carried out so far.”

The island councilor recalls that to reduce inconvenience and complications in traffic, the actions are always carried out at night, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. This next week they take place between kilometer points 8.9 and 12.3. The rehabilitation and resurfacing begins today in the area closest to the Padre Anchieta junction, in the direction of Santa Cruz. In order to execute it, traffic will be diverted to the opposite road.

Tomorrow, the work will be carried out, in the direction of Santa Cruz, from Los Rodeos to Guajara, setting up a by-pass and diverting traffic to the opposite road.

On Tuesday the 18th, Wednesday the 19th and Thursday the 20th, the work resumes at the same geographical point with the detours duly marked and marked.
