Podemos presents the municipal candidacy for Los Realejos City Council led by Teo Morales

Podemos presented last Saturday the candidacy with which they will run in the next local elections for the City Council of Los Realejos, led by Teo Morales. In a well-known square in the northern municipality, almost a hundred people gathered to meet the team and the political proposals.

In addition to Morales, the number two to the municipality and general coordinator of Podemos Canarias, Laura Fuentes Vega, was also present, together with other people representing the municipal candidacy such as Sergio Siverio, Beatriz Bello or María Casado, or the candidate for the Presidency of the Council of Tenerife, Manuel Marrero.

The spokesman for Podemos in Los Realejos and candidate for mayor, Teo Morales, pointed out that the party “presents a group of committed people who are very valid for management from all walks of life, for which we are convinced that we are essential protagonists of the change that our people need to put an end to the caciquil policy that the PP has been exercising for more than a decade”.

Morales had the opportunity to present one by one all the people who accompany him in the candidacy for the next local elections in which they aspire to achieve representation for the purple formation, noting that his objective is to “promote the change that Los Realejos is crying out for , to get him out of the increasing ostracism to which the Popular Party has sent him ”.

For her part, the general coordinator of Podemos Canarias and number two of the local candidacy, Laura Fuentes, pointed out that “as a realejera it is a pride to also be part of this team of people committed to finally achieving representation in the town hall of my town, defending that it once again be a benchmark in terms of citizen participation, as it never ceased to be.

Fuentes referred to the work carried out as a realejera at the head of the General Youth Directorate of the Government of the Canary Islands, emphasizing the importance that “we have shown that we are capable of governing institutions without sectarianism, unlike the PP, and of achieving conquests for the people through participation, such as the recently unanimously approved Canarian Law on Youth Policies.

In addition, from Podemos Los Realejos they were able to develop some of the main proposals that they will include in their electoral program, such as the adaptation of existing infrastructures for cultural activities, the creation of 24-hour study rooms for students, the protection of historical heritage or the improvement of the services provided to women and the LGBTI+ collective, among others.
