The general director of Relations with the Administration of Justice, Monica Ceballos, took office today in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in a ceremony chaired by the Minister of Public Administrations, Justice and Security, Julio Pérez, with whom he later met.
On December 23, the Governing Council of the Canary Islands agreed on the appointment of Mónica Ceballos Hernández as new general director of Relations with the Administration of Justice. Ceballos has been a career official of the Tenerife Island Council since 2017 and since 2019 she held the function of head of service of the Historical Heritage area of the insular institution.
Cabellos replaces Marta Bonnet, who has been appointed new technical secretary general of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning.
The new general director of Relations with the Administration of Justice has a degree in Law from the University of La Laguna, an institution where she also completed a master’s degree in Urban Law in the Canary Islands. She has extensive training in gender equality and violence, as well as in public procurement, public administration and urban planning and the environment.
Between 1998 and 2017, she worked as a lawyer for the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Bar Association. In addition, between 2003 and 2017 he served as a General Administration Technician in the Municipal Administration.
