SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 24 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has registered three cases of monkeypox under study since Tuesday, with no new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there have been 151 confirmed cases, of which 88 were detected in Gran Canaria, 57 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, one in La Palma and another in Lanzarote.
All active cases have mild symptoms and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up from Primary Care, the Ministry reports in a note.
Apart from the 151 confirmed cases, the archipelago has another six suspected cases, pending confirmation, two reported in Gran Canaria, two in Tenerife and two in Lanzarote.
