The contracting table in charge of awarding the concession of the seasonal services of the Las Teresitas beach, made up of eight kiosks and hammock and umbrella services, and whose current concession expired at the end of this year, already has a provisional proposal. The award is conditional on the companies submitting the necessary documentation, a tender in which three companies, which had been awarded one of the lots in the first option, have been excluded when it was found that they did not meet some of the requirements, such as the to be up to date in the payment of taxes with the City Council or Social Security. These are the companies Aguisala, Anaga 5 Restauración and Strasse Park Tenerife.
Lot I was awarded to La Isla Gastro Beach Club, with a fixed annual fee offer of 18,000 euros, for which it had bid in the first place. Lot II is awarded to the Joan Manuel Santos company, which offers a canon of 39,600 euros. Lot III also fell to the same concessionaire, for the same amount of annual fee, after the first successful bidder was excluded.
Lot IV and V have been awarded to the Unión Temporada de Empresas Feroga 2, which offers a fixed annual canon amounting to 35,000 for the first, and 32,500 for the second of the lots, for which it had bid in fifth place. Lot VI went to the entity Cuncunpra SL, with a fixed annual fee amounting to 24,012 euros. This bid was his second preference. Lot VII went to Comercial Insay 2010, for an annual fee of 20,400 euros, and the last of the lots, number VIII, went to Eloy Caracol, who offered a fixed annual fee amounting to 30,412 euros.
From the City Council of Santa Cruz they insist that it is a provisional award since there is still a possibility that the excluded companies claim that decision or that the awarded companies do not present the documentation that has been requested.
For the councilor for Heritage of Santa Cruz, Juan José Martínez, “this is good news, because it consolidates a leisure and restaurant offer that has greatly improved the services of the beach”.
This new tender, which went out to tender for 407,000 euros, includes some improvements that the new dealers must incorporate. The proposal is still for 8 kiosks that will carry the hammock service.
The establishments will have similar characteristics to the current ones, although some of the requests made by the current concessionaires will be incorporated, such as, for example, the use of solar panels to be self-sufficient or to have a space outside the kiosk for storage.
It is also included that the kiosks will only be able to play background music, incorporating a noise limiter to prevent the authorized 63 decibels from being exceeded. In addition, the kiosks will have space for at least two toilets.
