SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The manager of the Hospital de La Candelaria, Natacha Sujanani, recommends to the different medical services of the complex that the traditional Christmas lunches and dinners be suspended among the workers and maintain a “prudent attitude” during these holidays due to the rise in infections by coronavirus in the last weeks.

In a letter to which Europa Press has had access, it asks workers for “understanding and collaboration” and thanks them for the effort to stop the spread of Covid-19 but warns that in some Spanish cities “practically entire services have had to be quarantined by massive contagions “, which greatly complicates the provision of health services.

Sujanani acknowledges that the hospital has experienced “very tough crises” since the pandemic began, “with strong pressure for care in difficult conditions, moments of uncertainty, infections and isolation, screening, loss of patients, management of human and material resources “, and despite everything, he continues, always with” professionalism and a job well done “focused on patients.

For this reason, it makes “once again an appeal to the responsibility and prudence that the professionals of this house have always displayed” at a time of expansion of the pandemic, with a new variant included, in such a way that it returns to recommend basic precautionary measures (mask, social distance and hand hygiene).
