SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Deputy Minister of the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands, Antonio Olivera, has urged the Canarian population this Thursday to be “cautious” in the face of the “slight rebound” in cases of coronavirus in the islands – 108 this Thursday.
In a press conference to give an account of the agreements of the Governing Council, he asked to continue with “caution” and not to “relax” the measures at all since Covid-19 is still present in the archipelago.
Olivera regretted that vaccination remains “stagnant”, especially in the 40-49 age group, for which he has made a “call” for people who have not yet been vaccinated to “take the plunge”, both for themselves. as well as helping the collective protection of society.
He also said that the vaccination campaign for the third dose against Covid-19 has already begun among those over 70 who are not part of residences and stressed that this year it will be done together with the flu.
