Cepsa, among the leading companies in the energy sector in terms of conciliation, receives the Flexible and Responsible Company certificate

Cepsa has obtained the B + rating of the efr (Flexible and Responsible Company) certificate thanks to its continuous and determined commitment to work-life balance. The company has been obtaining this certificate since 2015, granted by Fundación Másfamilia. This year, the renewal has been accompanied by an improvement in its rating, ascending to that category. In this way, Cepsa has managed to position itself as one of the leaders in its sector.

Fundación Másfamilia has valued the company’s commitment to policies regarding equal opportunities, reconciliation of family and work life, and possibilities for personal and professional development, among other aspects, qualifying the company as a proactive company in this area.

Work-life balance is one of the fundamental pillars of the employee value proposition that Cepsa has been promoting for years. Specifically, it has more than one hundred measures to favor the balance of personal and professional life for its professionals. Likewise, during 2021, to promote knowledge about this matter among its managers, the company has developed an awareness program on work-life balance for all employees with teams under their charge.

Carlos Morán, Director of Human Resources at Cepsa, has influenced the commitment of the entire company to promote this type of measures that focus on people. He also highlighted: “Distinctions such as the efr certification, with a B + rating, reaffirm our commitment to continue making policies available to our employees that allow them to reconcile their personal and work life. This distinction is a recognition of the work that we have been developing for years, in which our objective has been, and will continue to be, to position ourselves as a reference in this field at all levels ”.

In line with this commitment, the company periodically conducts surveys to find out the degree of satisfaction of its professionals with the conciliation policies. In the last one, carried out by an external consultant in February 2021, 93% of those consulted stated that they felt satisfied in their work, and 75% considered that Cepsa is above the average of the companies in its sector in conciliation matter.

An internationally consolidated conciliation model

The efr certification is an international model of people management that, as part of CSR and Excellence Management, is in charge of advancing and providing answers in terms of responsibility and respect for the reconciliation of personal, family and work life. Likewise, it also encourages support for equal opportunities and the inclusion of the most disadvantaged, based on current and binding legislation and collective bargaining, so that companies that opt ​​for the efr certification carry out voluntary self-regulation in the matter.

The Fundación Másfamilia efr certification has been recognized by the United Nations and by the Interreg Europe program as “Good practice” for promoting work-life balance management policies within companies, considering the needs of employees and offering entities a series of guidelines to be more aware of the work environment they provide to their collaborators.

To obtain this certification, companies must pass an external verification, in this case carried out by AENOR, in addition to the subsequent analysis carried out by Fundación Másfamilia.
