SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the National Police have arrested a 20-year-old Moroccan youth with a police record, as the alleged perpetrator of the brutal attack that caused the loss of an eye to a young palm tree.
The detainee entered provisional prison by order of the judicial authority and four other young people between 18 and 28 years old, of Spanish and Moroccan nationality, have been investigated by the National Police for their alleged participation in the crime of injuries.
The events occurred on September 19 in the leisure area of Santa Cruz de La Palma when at one point in the night, and after a previous discussion in which he had not participated, a young man was attacked by others with punches and kicks .
At one point, the young man was brutally hit in the face by a glass bottle, causing serious injuries to his face.
Once the agents were present at the scene, they requested urgent medical assistance and collected the first data that would lead to clarifying the events.
The National Police investigators carried out different investigative steps in order to quickly arrest the alleged perpetrator and learned that he had lost an eye as a result of the brutal attack.
Therefore, the agents proceeded to arrest the young man who, allegedly, had attacked the victim with the glass bottle, causing him to lose an eye.
The detainee, by court order, was placed in preventive detention after being heard in a statement.
The actions have been carried out by national police officers of the Judicial Police Brigade of the Local Police Station of the National Police of Santa Cruz de La Palma.
