He City Hall of La Lagunathrough the joint venture Teidagua, has been forced to carry out today the cut in the water supply in several nuclei of the municipality. The situation is caused by the rupture of the Aguamansa Canal due to the forest fire that affects the tenerife island and that it has aggravated the current situation of scarcity of water storage in La Laguna.
The power outage will occur between 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in Santa Rosa de Lima, Montaña La Mina, Camino Guillén, Las Mercedes and La Degollada, affecting some 7,700 inhabitants.
The City Council has established irrigation restrictions in parks and gardens, as well as in sports facilities, and all municipal festive and sporting events scheduled for the weekend and until next Monday have been cancelled.
At the same time, the Consistory insists on the importance of making responsible use of water, especially in the current situation on the Island, with a sharp increase in water demand for firefighting tasks.
Any incident or query can be made through the Teidagua telephone numbers: 922 99 00 05 (from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) and 900 200 563 (24 hours a day).
