The deceased amount to 975 when adding two deaths in the last day –one in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria-, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government. The deceased in Tenerife is a 73-year-old man and Gran Canaria a 44-year-old man. Both were admitted to the hospital and the first of them had previous pathologies.
Thus, of the total number of cases, 3,471 are active (-516), of which 45 are admitted to the ICU, 223 remain hospitalized (+1) and 3,203 are at home (-517). By islands, Tenerife adds 34 positives, accumulating 45,168 cases, of which 1,183 are epidemiologically active (-7), 558 have died (+1) and 43,427 have overcome the disease.
Gran canaria It has 36,079 accumulated (+25), of which 1,966 are active (-507), 329 have died (+1) and 33,784 received medical discharge.
For its part, Lanzarote adds 13 positives, with 6,771 accumulated, of which 91 are active (+3), while it has registered 50 deaths and 6,630 overcame the disease.
Fuerteventura has 4,355 accumulated cases (+7), of which 220 are active (-8), 17 died and 4,118 received medical discharge and The Palm adds a new case, so it has 1,092 accumulated, of which four remain active, 16 have died and 1,072 have received medical discharge.
Finally, The iron adds two cases and accumulates 455, of which four are active (+2), four have died and 447 have overcome the disease, while La Gomera accumulates 402 cases, of which two are active, one has died and 399 have received medical discharge.
Refering to Accumulated Incidence (AI) at 7 days in the Canary Islands it is situated at 30.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the AI at 14 days is 65.81 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Likewise, a total of 2,092,442 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 123,719 were positive, representing 5.91 percent.
