The Civil Guard has arrested EMC, 32 years old, resident in San Cristóbal de la Laguna (Tenerife), in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, by order of the National High Court, for a crime of terrorism, when this body assesses the danger of his permanence in a situation of liberty due to his previous jihadist affiliation and to the multitude of other crimes that revealed this threat.

In an investigation carried out by the Civil Guard in 2017, EMC was arrested in 2019 for terrorist indoctrination. As a result of this investigation, on February 18, EMC was sentenced by the First Section of the Criminal Chamber of the National High Court to two years and two days in prison.

This person, between the years 2017 and 2019 EMC was the object of a prototypical jihadist radicalization, being fascinated by the violence deployed by terrorist organizations with an expansive territorial agenda, such as Al Qaeda and DAESH, which had led him, according to what was deduced from the investigation , to become a Mujahideen, as demonstrated by conducting a series of experiments with explosive substances aimed at producing a viable artifact.

The detainee stood out for systematically exploiting his jihadist radicalism to inflict degrading treatment on his partners, being convicted of crimes of gender violence.

After being brought to justice, EMC has entered the Tenerife II Penitentiary Center.
