Two young people arrested in the north of Tenerife for committing robberies with a simulated weapon



A joint operation by the National Police and the Civil Guard has culminated in the arrest of two young people, aged 18 and 22, residents of the municipality of La Orotava, as alleged perpetrators of two robberies with violence and intimidation in which they even used a firearm. simulated fire.

The authors traveled by motorcycle to the municipality of Puerto de La Cruz where, in the early hours of the morning, they approached a hotel worker who came to his job, pointing a gun at him and threatening with the simulated weapon, although the victim managed to flee.

Moments later, the alleged perpetrators went to the municipality of La Orotava, where with a similar ‘modus operandi’ they robbed a woman who was leaving her home. On this occasion, the young people managed to get hold of the victim’s wallet.

Both police forces carried out a joint investigation that has culminated in the identification and arrest of the alleged perpetrators, who have confessed to the responsibility.

During the investigation, the agents of both bodies have managed to recover the effects that the young people stole as well as the weapon used.

The detainees, along with the proceedings conducted, have been placed at the disposal of the Judiciary.
