The City Council of Granadilla de Abona (Tenerife) has reopened the Leocadio Machado beaches, in El Médano, and Los Abrigos for bathing, after indicating the analytics that the parameters are correct and that the water is suitable for bathing.
In a press release, the City Council recalled that it closed both beaches last Friday when an E.coli contamination index was detected above that allowed by the company awarded the water analysis service in bathing areas.
In this sense, the results of the counter-analysis carried out a posteriori have confirmed that the bathroom ban can be lifted, so it decided to reopen them.
