The City Council of El Rosario has decreed the closure at night of the Bosque del Adelantado, in La Esperanza, with the aim of avoiding the practice of drinking bottles –which occurs especially on weekends– and various acts of vandalism carried out by the night and that they would be related to the death of two of the ducks that live in the pond in the square of the same name, reported the Town Hall through a press release.
The closing of the Bosque del Adelantado will take place between 9:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and complies with the covid-19 regulation, which advises the closure of public spaces “in which the celebration of bottles is foreseeable or in which agglomerations may occur ”. It so happens that the mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, had already made an echo on his social networks this past weekend of the death of one of these birds that have been in the pond in the Plaza del Adelantado for some time many years (in 2019, a specific road marking was even placed for the presence of these ducks), and “not for natural causes, but as a result of vandalism committed during the night, when several large stones were found next to the animal , thrown with the undoubted intention of hurting him to the point of causing his death. The accidental mayor, Sara Cabello, signed yesterday the municipal ruling that decrees the precinct and closure of the forest at night. For its part, the Local Police have already opened a line of investigation to try to find those responsible for the “unfortunate episode” of animal abuse.
