The municipal investment to equip the facilities of the municipal soccer field with new equipment amounts to 46,000 euros. It includes the purchase of lockers, coat racks and benches for the changing rooms, as well as all the furniture and kitchen resources necessary for the start-up of the sports hall’s cafeteria. The local Government Board has just given the green light to the hiring file. The concessionaire company must complete the process within three months.
Verónica Domínguez, Councilor for Sports Facilities, highlights that this procedure is carried out in parallel to the installation of the irrigation system and the laying of the new grass, which is currently being carried out.
The La Guancha City Council advances towards the conclusion of the works in the municipal stadium, which began in August 2019 with an initial budget of 546,294 euros. The Montefrío soccer field improves with the construction of new changing rooms, the well and the treatment plant, as well as the installation of irrigation and the replacement of artificial grass.
The two-level building that replaces the old changing rooms houses, on its ground floor (at the level of the playing field), the entrances to the changing rooms (two for the children, two for the regional team and two for the referees), a first-aid kit, the coaches, the sports equipment store, the laundry and a facilities room. On the second floor is the cafeteria, which has a large outdoor terrace, as well as a public toilets area and an access ramp for people with reduced mobility, says the councilor for the Sports area.
