The Council of Tenerife and the Municipality of Los Realejos invest 1,830,000 euros in works to improve the wastewater sanitation network in Reyes Católicos street and in the urbanization La Carrera. The island councilor for Municipal Cooperation and Housing, Zebenzui Chineaand the first deputy mayor and councilor for Economic Promotion, Adolf Gonzalezhave recently visited the work areas, included within the Municipal Cooperation Plan 2018-2021is financed 70 percent by the Cabildo (1,292,928 euros) and 30 percent by the City Council of Los Realejos (537,070 euros).
Chinea highlights that the projected works “will reduce the existing deficiencies in the urban sewage infrastructure of The Realejos in line with what is included in the European directive on sanitation”. Adolf Gonzalez He added “that this work will allow a significant number of homes located in the town of High Realejo connect to the sanitation network and solve the problems of collecting and evacuating rainwater”.
The first deputy mayor valued “the good harmony in the coordination and monitoring of the work between both administrationsas well as the interest shown by the councilor in this work and in the improvement of similar infrastructures in different parts of the town, which have also been integrated into the Municipal Cooperation Plan”.
To improve the sewage network of Reyes Católicos street A 433-meter-long main wastewater collector will be built, as well as secondary collectors and a 405-meter-long stormwater collector.
In the case of the urbanization La Carreraa main collector of 193 meters will be built, which will connect with the general sanitation collector of the municipality, as well as other secondary collectors.
This project is completed with the construction of a new sewage pumping station (EBAR) in Alhondiga streetthe paving of the roads and sidewalks affected, and the replacement of street furniture.
