SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 12 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Approximately 560 migrants have been rescued by Maritime Rescue in waters close to the islands of El Hierro and Tenerife this Monday, as indicated by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre of 112 in the Canary Islands along with the Red Cross.

Specifically, 194 individuals arrived on the island of Tenerife at the Los Cristianos dock, while 110 landed at the San Miguel Marina. All of them were attended to by the health services in the region, comprising personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), Red Cross, and Primary Care, who conducted nine transfers to healthcare facilities for various medical conditions.

In addition, 76 migrants reached the La Restinga dock on the island of El Hierro this Monday morning, with a further 180 rescued later in the afternoon. In these instances, the health services were required to facilitate two transfers to medical centres due to different health issues.
