SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 7. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Helicopter members of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands have carried out a complicated rescue of a paraglider, of Polish nationality, who was left hanging on the edge of a rock in the upper part of the Infierno de Adeje ravine, in the island of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.

The events occurred on Wednesday afternoon and after being alerted that a paraglider had been left hanging at the top of the aforementioned ravine, in an area that was difficult to access, the helicopter headed to the area where the rescuers descended with the crane. on the back face of the rock so as not to affect the affected person with the impact of the helicopter.

They later secured the affected person with safety ropes to be able to carry out the rescue and after securing him, one of the rescuers descended using ropes to where the paraglider was to lower him to a safe place where he was hoisted by the helicopter.

They then transferred the affected person to the helisurface of the Tenerife Fire Consortium in Adeje, where an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) was waiting for him and confirmed that the man was unharmed.

Agents from the Local Police also participated in the resolution of the events, who collaborated with the emergency services.
