SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 14 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Mobility area, awarded the consultant Iván Solla Veloso the drafting of the project for the construction and commissioning of direct access and exit lanes to the Polígono Valle de Güímar from the TF-1 with a term of two-month run.
The first vice president and Minister of Mobility, Enrique Arriaga, points out in a note that with them “there will be gains in fluidity and road safety on one of the roads that concentrates the largest number of vehicles in the island’s industrial estates.”
Arriaga explains that “access to the Güímar Industrial Estate from the TF-1 is frequently blocked by the traffic that flows from this road of regional interest and from the TF-281.”
To alleviate this congestion, it is proposed to build several direct lanes in the access and exit roundabouts to the Polígono from the TF-1, with preference for collective transport vehicles.
The councilor recalls that in the last three years and to help alleviate the serious problem of traffic flow that exists in various parts of the island, “both from the Mobility and Highway areas, direct lanes have been set up in points of special concentration of vehicles”.
Examples of this are the last post in operation last week in La Orotava or the one that will soon be executed in Guajara, at the height of Astrofísico street.
Once the project has been drafted, the tender for the work will begin so that it can begin to be executed as soon as possible.
