SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Parliament of the Canary Islands hosts the joint exhibition ‘Two looks’, made up of the pictorial series ‘In transit’, by Leandra Estévez, and the sculptural installation ‘Two figures from nature, by Rosa Fernández.

The opening of the exhibition, held this Thursday, was presided over by the vice-president of the Chamber, Rosa Dávila, and included the intervention of the president of the Circle of Fine Arts of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Alejandro Tosco, in addition to the two authors.

Dávila thanked both creators and the Circle of Fine Arts of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for exhibiting this exhibition in the Tindaya room of the Canarian Parliament, born from reflections on life, death, love, fear, friendship or woman, through the eyes of the two artists.

“A work where the games of color, light and volume stand out with the use of different techniques to result in works of intense symbolism,” said the vice president, who expressed her hope that “soon” the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, “that much-loved space, that symbol of the culture of this capital, of this island and of the entire Canary Islands, with its activity once again at full capacity”.

The president of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, Alejandro Tosco, thanked the Parliament of the Canary Islands for its collaboration in continuing to keep the artistic program of the entity active while it is under construction, providing spaces for the exhibition of the samples.

The author of ‘Two figures from nature’ pointed out that said artistic representation symbolizes friendship, a friendship that “unites” the people who have collaborated in the creation of this work.

For her part, Leandra Estévez explained about her pictorial series ‘En transit’ that “both the work and the titles are not going to give them answers, but are codes that allude to the meaning, actions and questions that affect the human condition and, in my case, ways of being alive”.

The exhibition ‘Dos Miradas’ can be visited in the exhibition hall of the Parliament of the Canary Islands until October 22 in the morning and afternoon.
