LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA, Sep 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Court of Instruction Number 2 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Gran Canaria) has ordered the reopening of the case of the disappearance of Yéremi Vargas in a car dated September 2 and made public this Wednesday.
The judicial authority is now beginning the reopening of preliminary proceedings to try to identify those responsible for the disappearance of Yeremi Vargas – which occurred in Vecindario in March 2007 when he was seven years old -, find out the circumstances of how the alleged crime occurred and carry out all the means of proof that it deems necessary.
Thus, the family and their lawyer, Marcos García Montes, have issued a statement in which they hope that the report of the Prosecutor’s Office will be favorable, the proceedings will be carried out imminently and an accusation will be formulated if the case arises.
“Confidence in justice and the Prosecutor’s Office is full, as it cannot be otherwise, and we are sure that we have labeled with the reopening of the procedure and proceedings to practice the future path of achieving the truth, and in the event that Yéremi was not alive, let the family rest by giving his remains a Christian burial, “the statement said.
Both the family and the lawyer emphasize that it has been two years “of a long road” to try to solve a case that has not finished and they appreciate the efforts of the Civil Guard and others to help in the investigation.
