SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Young people between the ages of 20 and 29 are the furthest behind in vaccination in the different age groups, with 58.85 percent with one dose and 53.12 percent with a complete schedule, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Canary Islands Government Health.

So far, the Nursing teams of the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) have administered 3,034,180 doses of vaccines.

Specifically, in the last week, from Monday, August 30 to Sunday, September 5, the vaccination teams have administered 60,327 doses.

In the archipelago, 83.37 percent of the target population (that of more than 12 years that amounts to 1,960,774 people) is already vaccinated against COVID-19, since there are already 1,634,662 people who have received, at least one dose of the vaccine.

This means that 87.37 percent of those over 16 years of age (who were the target population when the campaign began) have at least one dose.

In addition, until this Sunday, 1,561,723 people who have already received the complete vaccination schedule had been immunized, which represents 79.65 percent of the target population of the archipelago.

If the initial target population (those over 16 years of age) in the Canary Islands is taken as a reference, 83.47 percent are already immunized.

At present, groups from 1 to 7 (residents and health and social health personnel of residences; health personnel; large dependents and main caregivers; vulnerable people; groups with essential functions such as teachers and policemen and people with very high risk conditions) are already vaccinated with two doses between 99.5 and 100%.

People between 60 and 65 years old have 82.67% with at least one dose and 62.76% with a complete regimen; people between 50 and 59 years old, 95.60 percent with at least one dose and 96.19 with a complete regimen and people between 40 and 49 years old, 59.39 percent with at least one dose and 76 , 84 percent with complete regimen (they include immunized with Janssen which is a single dose vaccine).

Those who are between 30 and 39 years old have 63.83 percent with at least one dose and 58.60 percent with a complete regimen and the group between 12 and 19 years old, with 72.82 percent with one dose and 61.66% with the complete regimen.
