Adeje will dedicate this weekend to the patron saint of the municipality, the Virgen de la Encarnación, with acts that will begin today and end on Monday afternoon. The Convent of Adeje hosts today at 8:30 p.m. the presentation of the Book of Miracles of the Virgin, by the researcher and writer Nelson Díaz Frías and the premiere of the new processional march Encarnación Adejera, which will be performed by the Banda del Patronato Musical of Villa de Adeje and composed by Jesús Agomar González Guillama.
On Saturday the extraordinary prayer is celebrated (8:00 p.m.) from the parish of Santa Úrsula to San Sebastián, in La Caleta. The act of proclamation of the canonical patronage of the Virgin by the Vatican will be on Sunday (19:00) in the Plaza de San Sebastián. The Bishop of Tenerife, Bernardo Álvarez Afonso, will officiate the mass, sung by Los Sabandeños.
