Due to the environment in which they originated, it must be said that 91 are framed in the family context; 57 in the social; 20 at work –with family ramifications in most of these–; ten in that of socially vulnerable groups; two in the health field; two in the sports car; one in educational; and another in the socio-sanitary.
The department of the regional Executive highlights that more than 70% of the new outbreaks have between three and five associated cases, although there are 15 outbreaks that exceed ten affected. In this sense, in addition to the one described in the fishing boat, one stands out in the field of nightlife in the municipality of Adeje (Tenerife), which brings together 11 clinical pictures – a waiter, several clients and their families -, in addition to another produced on the same island at the Bellevue Hospital, in Puerto de la Cruz, with 12 patients suffering from the condition. The rest of outbreaks of greater magnitude have been registered in the area of vulnerable groups.
11 Infected at a party
- A party held in a local in the Adeje municipality ended with 11 people suffering from coronavirus. Among those affected are a waiter, several customers and their relatives.
Related to nightlife, the Ministry reported two others: one found in the Gran Canaria municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, with three affected, two of them employees of the establishment, and another in the municipality of Pájara, in Fuerteventura, which totals six infections
Among the health, there is another produced at the Hospital Universitario de Canarias (HUC), with three patients and a worker infected, while the social health took place at the Hospital de Los Dolores, in La Palma, with two patients and two professionals from the center diagnosed with pathology.
Likewise, among the work focuses, another one produced on a cargo ship stands out, also in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with three confirmed infections.
As regards sports, in the last week two have been registered in Gran Canaria: one linked to football in the capital, with four affected, and another associated with kick-boxing in Telde, with three positives.
89 Outbreaks in Gran Canaria
- As happened last week, in the last seven days Gran Canaria has added more outbreaks of coronavirus than Tenerife. The Island has recorded 89 outbreaks and Tenerife 76.
Finally, the only educational outbreak has been registered in a child care center in La Laguna and counts three affected people, of which two are minors.
In the region, another 48 outbreaks already reported continue to be monitored, but some have increased the number of linked cases. An example is the one produced in the City of San Juan de Dios, which has gone from recording 17 cases to gathering 39 between users and workers. In addition, the one found in a nightlife venue in Pájara already has 37 afflicted patients.
