Seven deaths and 319 new cases of covid in the Canary Islands

The number of deaths since the pandemic began rises to 892 in the Canary Islands with the last seven. The count of recent deaths is the highest since last January 25, when seven people died in a single day. Then, human losses totaled 450. From January 25 to today, in less than seven months, the Archipelago has added 442 deaths.

On the other hand, Health has communicated today 319 new cases of coronavirus Covid-19. The figure supposes 283 fewer positives compared to last Wednesday, when 602 new infections were reported. In the last 18 days there has been a continuous decline in the number of cases.

While the number of daily infections decreases, the pressure in the ICUs of the Archipelago, hardly varies. As of today there are 106 people admitted, one less than yesterday. In the plant, the decrease has been six cases, so 419 patients remain hospitalized.

The total accumulated cases in Canary Islands It is 89,093 with 15,579 assets.

By islands, Tenerife Today there are 147 cases with a total of 42,914 accumulated cases and 8,939 epidemiologically active.

Gran canaria it has 34,006 accumulated, 137 more, and 5,795 assets.

For its part, Lanzarote adds 15 positives, with 6,426 accumulated and 194 assets.

Fuerteventura It has 3,881 accumulated cases, with 15 more than the previous day, and 252 active.

The Palm sum adds two new cases, so it has 1,042 accumulated and 39 active, while El Hierro has two more cases, 435 accumulated and five active.

La GomeraWithout new cases, it remains at 384 accumulated and nine active.

In the calculation by islands there is a missing case to reference, which will go up to the statistics by islands once it is validated, indicates Health.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands it is 113.05 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days in the 292.33 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Until today, 1,945,461 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 6,291 correspond to yesterday.
