Tenerife Cook Music Fest Kicks Off with a Star-Studded Line-Up and Forecasted Attendance of Over 60,000
Tenerife is preparing to experience one of the most vibrant weekends of the year with the launch of the Tenerife Cook Music Fest, which is expected to gather over 60,000 people at the capital’s quay.

With a truly impressive line-up featuring stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Sebastián Yatra, Gloria Estefan, Óscar D’León, and Olga Tañón, the festival is confirmed as the largest musical event in the Canary Islands, as highlighted by the main island authorities at the inaugural press conference on Thursday.

The event was attended by the spokesperson for the Government of the Canary Islands, Alfonso Cabello; the president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila; the mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez; and Dominican singer Eddy Herrera, among other guests.

Eddy Herrera, with 35 years of artistic career behind him, praised the technical and human display of the festival, describing it as “grandiose”. “It’s not easy to see something like this in other parts of the world. This Saturday, I’m going to step onto the stage with all the energy to give you the best. I am very grateful and want us all to have a good time, from the audience to the artists,” he said, visibly moved.

The Dominican musician is part of the varied cast that defines the identity of the Tenerife Cook Music Fest: an event that mixes generations, styles, and audiences, with a clear international vocation.

The spokesperson for the regional government, Alfonso Cabello, praised the festival’s ability to attract people and its production, which mobilises over 800 professionals under the direction of promoter José María de la Cova. “These days, the Canary Islands becomes the capital of music, and that is thanks to a collaborative effort that has achieved a very interesting cultural balance. A father can come with his son to see a specific artist and then stay to enjoy another from his generation,” he said.

Cabello also urged the Port Authority to continue supporting the use of the space by the sea, “a spectacular environment that has not always been possible to use for cultural events”.

Rosa Dávila, president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, emphasised the pride of hosting a festival of this level produced entirely from the Islands. “It is the most important festival in the Canary Islands, and we are building it with local talent. We don’t have to import anything. We are demonstrating that we can be in the elite of international musical circuits,” she stated.

In addition to the musical appeal, the festival is accompanied by a parallel cultural and gastronomic offer, reinforcing its commitment to the complete experience around music, leisure, and family enjoyment.

With a high-quality line-up, Canary Islands production, and global projection, the Tenerife Cook Music Fest is establishing itself as a must-attend event in the cultural calendar of the Islands.
