Tenerife North Airport is operating with some normality this Monday following a Sunday that saw a total of 88 cancellations (54 arrivals and 34 departures) and 37 diversions, according to sources from Aena reported to Europa Press.
The day was marked by a strong combination of fog and wind shear, which is a sudden change in wind speed or direction, affecting the entire operation of the Tenerife airport.
As a result, alternative landing options had to be sought both at Tenerife South, which also experienced four diversions, and at other islands.
