A man has been seriously injured following a fire that broke out on Santa Cruz Avenue in the municipality of Güímar, Tenerife, according to the Emergency and Safety Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred at approximately 15:40, when the 1-1-2 control room received an alert regarding the fire. As a result, Cecoes promptly activated the necessary emergency resources to respond to the situation.
Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished the flames, which had spread to the café’s kitchen.
Emergency services assisted the individual, who, after being stabilised, was transferred to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria in a serious condition.
