According to data released by the University of La Laguna on Friday, 89.17% of students who sat the ordinary session of the University Entrance Examination (PAU) in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in June passed the exam.
Students have been able to access the application since 10:00 am to view their individual results.
A total of 4,583 students registered, with 4,060 passing, 493 failing, and 30 not attending the exam.
The Analysis and Planning Office of the academic institution reports that the average score for the Baccalaureate in this province was 8.24, which has decreased to an average PAU score of 6.56, resulting in a final average entrance score of 7.57.
Exam Performance by Subject
In terms of exam modalities, in Arts, via Plastic Arts, 85.98% passed, while in Arts, via Music and Performing Arts, the pass rate is 96.05%.
In the Science and Technology stream, 92.49% successfully passed the PAU, and finally, in Humanities and Social Sciences, the pass rate stands at 85.42%.
Results by Island
On the island of Tenerife, 3,663 candidates were examined, achieving a pass rate of 89.3%, with 437 unsuccessful candidates and 27 not attending.
In La Palma, 295 students passed, which is 87.02%; in El Hierro, 37 students passed, representing 94.8%; and finally, in La Gomera, 65 students passed, resulting in a pass rate of 86.6%.
Next Steps for Students
Today, and until 2 July, the pre-registration process for degree programmes for the 2026/27 academic year has been activated for all students who passed the PAU in June, according to a statement from ULL.
Those who were unsuccessful will have the opportunity to retake the PAU on 30 June, 1, and 2 July.
As in previous years, the University of La Laguna has invited the top 30 students based on their entrance exam results, specifically from the general phase of the PAU, to a recognition ceremony.
This event, celebrating the excellence and achievements of these students, will take place next Monday, 15 June, at 11:00 am in the gardens of the Rectorate.
