Fortune smiles on the Canary Islands. The draw for the National Lottery this Saturday, 6th June, has left three first prizes in the archipelago, according to Loterías y Apuestas del Estado (LAE).

The winning number for the first prize is 97984, awarded €150,000, which was sold at two locations in Tenerife and in La Palma.

The winners from Tenerife purchased their tickets at the lucky service station in Granadilla de Abona (Southern Highway, km 54) and at the Porís de Abona service station (LG TF-1, left margin, s/n).

As for the winner from La Palma, they bought their ticket at the administration on Anselmo Pérez de Brito Street, 86, in Santa Cruz de La Palma.

Prizes outside the Canary Islands

The remaining winners of the first prize purchased their tickets in Barcelona, Granada, and Málaga.

The second prize, 86985, was sold in Valencia, while the third prize, 90170, was sold in Barcelona, Girona, Granada, Huelva, León, and Soria.

How to Play the National Lottery?

Initially, you must choose the draw you wish to enter (there are always a minimum of four draws available for sale).

Next, you need to select a 5-digit number (decimo) to participate in that draw. You can either choose your own digits or let the system randomly select for you by marking the digits you wish to exclude with asterisks. You must also indicate how many decimos you wish to purchase (between 1 and 10).

If you choose a specific number, be aware that it may not be available for sale as it could have already been sold or is only sold through designated Lottery Administrations.

The generated decimos are virtual (you will never receive a paper ticket, as these are sold exclusively at Lottery Administrations), but they participate in draws under the same conditions as paper tickets and have the same chances of winning prizes. The only difference is that if you have purchased a paper ticket, you will need to present it to claim any potential prizes, whereas with online purchases, you will receive your winnings just like with other games without needing to present anything.
