Santa Cruz de Tenerife 14 Apr. (Press Europa) –

The Civil Guard, as part of the ‘Nagrom’ Operation conducted in Tenerife, with links to the Islands of La Palma and Lanzarote, has commenced investigations into four individuals for offences involving threats, damage to property and minor injuries.

The four individuals being scrutinised are activists affiliated with animal rights movements or radical ideological groups, who collaboratively devised a sequence of actions and acts of vandalism targeting specific facilities owned by the Loro Parque group on the isle of Tenerife, as detailed by the Civil Guard in a statement.

The first of these incidents occurred on November 27, 2024, when two activists, concealing their identities with hoods and masks, appeared outside one of the group’s facilities in the southern region of the island.

During this event, one individual sprayed graffiti on the outer façade and pedestrian access area of the park, inscribing phrases such as “Loro Parque Asesinos” and “Killer exploiters”, while the other activist filmed the act on their mobile phone.

A subsequent incident executed by the activists transpired on February 20, when they relocated to the port of La Cruz, and in a fully organised manner, they carried out graffiti on the exterior walls of the Parque Parque, including statements like: “Kiessling we are coming for you, murderer” and “2nd murderous notice”, actions which were also captured on mobile devices.

Following this second episode, the legal representative of the group filed the appropriate complaint with the Command of the Civil Guard in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, expressing concerns that such actions could escalate, potentially leading to violent attacks on the personal safety of businessman Wolfgang Kiessling or his family.

Investigations conducted by the police confirmed that these two actions, prominently shared on social media, could inflict reputational and financial damage to the business group, as highlighted by the Civil Guard.

Subsequently, after gathering all relevant material, it was decided to enter the operational phase of ‘Nagrom’, culminating in the investigation of four activists regarding the matters at hand, with two located in Tenerife, one in La Palma and another in Lanzarote.

This operation has been executed by the Information Service of the Command of the Civil Guard of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in partnership with the Special Central Unit (UCE-1) of the Central Headquarters, receiving assistance from the Judicial Police team at Llanos de Aridane, the Civil Guard Research Area in Santa Cruz de la Palma, and the Basic Information Team from Lanzarote.

The proceedings have been submitted to the Court of Guard in Puerto de la Cruz, and the investigation remains ongoing.
