The Dutch DJ, known as Moto motorcycle, has announced via Instagram that he was the organiser of the event recently hosted in the protected natural area of Caleta, located in the municipality of Adeje. He has taken on “full responsibility” amidst the criticism expressed on social media by local users as well as the TENERFEÑA ASSOCIATION FRIENDS OF NATURE (ATAN).
The artist claims that part of his role involves organising “Extreme Extreme Dance Events“, which are defined as being “Drug and alcohol free“. He further clarifies that attendees at these types of gatherings come together “in the name of God” to “dance and connect with one another.”
Site of Scientific Interest
This southern location, characterised by three beaches surrounded by cliffs, has been designated as a Site of Scientific Interest and as an Ecological Sensitive Area under Autonomous Law 12/94, which was later amended by the Canary Islands Planning Law through Legislative Decree 1/2000, as noted by the island council.
The DJ has stated that the upcoming event will not be hosted on any of the Adeje beaches but rather on a “private estate,” as he believes this is “the most suitable option for everyone.” He mentions that the last gathering he organised was held in a private venue, leading to some individuals expressing their dissatisfaction and pouring out their frustrations on social media.
