
On December 20, the Local Police of Arona apprehended a 30-year-old individual on José Antonio Tavío Avenue in Costa del Silencio for an alleged offence against public health.
Law enforcement officers caught this person in possession of a bag containing 22 packaged portions of a white powdery substance, weighing 11 grams, which appeared to be prepared for distribution. Additionally, another package containing a 1-gram brown stone, believed to be hashish, was found.
Upon analysis at the police station, the substance reacted positively for cocaine when tested.
On the same day, a 47-year-old man was arrested in El Mojón for a suspected act of domestic violence. This arrest was initiated by security staff at a hospital who had been alerted by several witnesses to the incident occurring in the parking area.
The individual was located in the vicinity and subsequently taken to the police station for the necessary procedures. It is noteworthy that the detained man has an extensive criminal record, including offences such as robbery, assault, breach of restraining order, and acts of domestic violence.
Furthermore, on the evening of the 21st, local officers arrested another man, aged 43, in the San Lorenzo Valley for an alleged domestic violence offence after his partner raised the alarm. The arrest took place in their shared residence, and he was taken to the police station for further processing.
Additionally, on the afternoon of the 23rd, police officials apprehended a 35-year-old man in Los Cristianos for allegedly violating a court order, as an active restraining order against his ex-partner had been in effect since July 16, 2024. The detained individual was taken to the police headquarters for the relevant procedures to be conducted.
