The Christmas Lottery has allocated over 16 million euros throughout the Canary Islands, although neither the ‘Gordo’ nor the second prize was present in the archipelago, with El Hierro being the only island devoid of any winnings.
As per the statistics from State Lotteries and Betting, Gran Canaria emerged as the most prosperous island, having garnered just over seven million euros. Tenerife followed with slightly more than five million euros, which includes three million sold in the southern town of Guía de Isora and over 1.5 million at the ‘La Chasnera’ petrol station in Granadilla de Abona.
La Palma received nearly 3.2 million euros, the majority of which was distributed in Tazacorte, where 450 tenths of the fifth prize were sold, resulting in a distribution of 2.7 million euros from the number 37,846. In Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and La Gomera, the respective amounts distributed were 640,000, 106,000, and 20,000 euros.
The focal point of the Christmas Lottery was Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where administration number 41, situated on the main Avenida Mesa y López, sold 920 tenths of the fifth prize (45,456), totalling over 5.5 million euros.
