SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 7 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

A 54-year-old woman has sustained moderate injuries following a fall in the vicinity of the El Molledo area, within the municipality of Santiago del Teide (Tenerife), as reported by the 112 Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre of the Canary Islands.

The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon, prompting firefighters from the Tenerife Fire Consortium to respond. They reached the site, provided initial care to the injured individual, and immobilised her.

Subsequent to this, members of the rescue helicopter crew from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Canary Islands Government disembarked the aircraft. Together with the firefighters, they proceeded to carry out her rescue and hoist her onto the chopper for evacuation to the Adeje Volunteer Firefighters helipad.

The woman’s injuries were later assessed by personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), who confirmed that she had sustained moderate injuries without any complications. She was then transferred to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital for further treatment.

Local Police officials also arrived at the scene to manage the situation and assisted with the rescue operation alongside other emergency services deployed in the area.
