The Canary Executive has authorized this Thursday, in the Governing Council, in advance, the Cabildo de Tenerife the construction of a complex of 88 apartments with 194 beds in the municipality of San Miguel de Abona, after the approval of the file processed by the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce.
The Government of the Canary Islands approves the investment proposal of the European Fund, which amounts to 1.9 million until 2027
Based on the documentation presented, the complex is projected on a plot of 9,927.5 square meters to build 88 3-star apartments with 194 accommodation places (77 one-bedroom units and 11 two-bedroom units) distributed in various adapted buildings to the topography of the land.
For this, it is distributed in four building bodies that close each of the plot fronts to the public road. These buildings basically comprise the accommodation units and the reception on the ground floor, as reported by the regional government.
Next to these buildings, it is planned to build, below the upper level of the complex, a volume that houses complementary services and community uses, such as parking, gym, spa and complex administration area.
It will also have a reception area, as well as circulation spaces, rest areas, collective services and free space areas and gardens (Kid’s Club and Playground), details the Government.
As for the adult pool, it will have a total area of approximately 292 meters, which includes a lake pool and a 25-meter-long swimming pool, together with a solarium area with an approximate surface area of 455 meters and a Jacuzzi with an approximate surface area of 17 meters. .
Also noteworthy is the gym, with a training area and directed classes, with an area of approximately 149 meters, an equipped healthy park of approximately 124 meters and a spa with Jacuzzi, sauna and beauty and massage cabins and a rehabilitation area, as well as a coworking area or business center.
The project states that it is a promotion committed to the place, the local ecosystem and the environment in general, developing a proposal for the implementation of the building adapted to the landscape and climatic characteristics of the town, which takes advantage of the privileged situation with respect to the coastline and views over the sea.
The Law of Tourist Renovation and Modernization of the Canary Islands provides that prior authorizations will only be granted for tourist accommodation places in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, when their purpose is the new implementation of hotel and non-hotel establishments (this last case when the planning does not expressly prohibit it), which must comply with standards of building quality and service.
