SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 4 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Officers of the National Police have apprehended a 23-year-old male in Santa Cruz de Tenerife as part of an operation targeting the corruption of minors and other associated offences.

This individual had previously been detained in November 2023 for charges concerning the possession and distribution of child pornography.

During the capture, a mobile device was confiscated, which when examined under a court order revealed data sufficient to substantiate the alleged involvement in crimes of possession, distribution, and production of child pornography, sexual provocation, and corruption of minors.

The detainee has been remanded in custody by the relevant judicial authority, accompanied by reports and the corresponding digital analysis, with the judge ordering provisional detention without bail.

The National Police is continuing to scrutinise the contents of the devices and conduct necessary investigative procedures to thoroughly clarify the incident, as noted in a report.

The efforts are aimed at identifying as many victims as possible, with four already having been fully identified.
