SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
His Majesty King Felipe VI has expressed his desire to visit the island of La Palma again, “as soon as possible”, together with Queen Letizia, to follow the evolution of the volcanic eruption, as reported by the technical director of Pevolca , Miguel Ángel Morcuende.
Taking advantage of his presence on the island of Tenerife, where he has attended several events in the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Felipe VI has held a meeting by videoconference with members of the Scientific Committee and the Pevolca Steering Committee.
The King has been accompanied by the President of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres; the Minister of Tourism, Reyes Maroto; the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias; the Government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, among other authorities.
Felipe VI has conveyed his best wishes to both the Scientific Committee and the Pevolca Steering Committee for the resolution of this volcanic emergency and that they can carry out the best of the work contemplated in said Plan.
