SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 20 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A walker sustained injuries this Saturday afternoon following a fall on the path from San Andrés to Las Canteras, close to the Taganana area, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 112.
In response, the Tenerife Fire Brigade attended the site and determined that an aerial evacuation was essential due to the individual’s location being hard to reach.
Consequently, a helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) was deployed to carry out the rescue of the injured person, who incurred multiple minor abrasions. He was subsequently airlifted to Tenerife North airport, where an ambulance from SUC took over his care and transported him to the Laguna Mercedes health centre.
Finally, officials from the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife were responsible for preparing the necessary reports.
