SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 7 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Officers from the Civil Guard at the Main Post of Candelaria have apprehended a 47-year-old individual, a local resident, on suspicion of committing a serious theft during a commercial flight at Tenerife North Airport – City of La Laguna.
The criminal incident transpired when the stewardess onboard the flight noticed that her high-end mobile device was missing from her personal bag during the journey prior to landing at Tenerife North Airport.
Following the aircraft’s arrival, the victim reported the theft, providing details regarding its possible whereabouts, which led the Civil Guard agents to initiate an investigation. Through their inquiries, they discovered that the device may have been located in the municipality of Candelaria.
Upon conducting the necessary checks and gathering evidence during the investigation, the officers successfully located, identified, and apprehended the alleged thief, who was also a passenger on the flight. They found the abandoned mobile phone in a ravine within the same municipality.
The arrested individual, along with the case materials, has been handed over to the Güímar Guard Court of Investigation.
