Gran Canaria’s Mobile Alert Day: What You Need to Know for September 26

On Thursday, September 26, the island of Gran Canaria will conduct a further trial of the ES-Alert emergency alert system. This initiative aims to familiarise the public with the mechanism in preparation for potential disasters or emergencies. The system has previously been tested on other islands such as Fuerteventura, El Hierro, La Palma, Lanzarote and La Gomera, in addition to several urban areas of Tenerife.
