A fight in a district of Santa Cruz de Tenerife resulted in four individuals being injured, one of whom sustained serious injuries, last night.
The occurrence, as detailed by the Canary Islands Government’s Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES 1-1-2), transpired on Sargento Provisional Street, in the Ofra district, at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Thursday.
The 1-1-2 police department reported that they received a notification from local police about a confrontation involving several individuals, some of whom were armed with knives, on the aforementioned public thoroughfare. They promptly mobilised the required emergency resources.
The personnel of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) aided the four injured and transported two of them, in separate ambulances, to the Hospital Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria. This included a 43-year-old man with a severe stab wound to the chest and a woman, also aged 43, suffering from multiple contusions and moderate lacerations.
The other two injured individuals, comprising a woman and a man with lacerated-contused wounds, were conveyed by the Local Police to the Los Gladiolos Health Centre and the Ofra Health Centre, respectively.
The National Police have commenced investigations.
