The Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is requesting a four-year prison sentence for a man from Melilla, who is based in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife), for posting hateful messages through Facebook against Jews, the United States, and Israel.

The indictment, as reported by Europa Press, indicates that there are a total of 54 public posts openly displayed with no restrictions, accompanied by photographs and videos with the intention to incite violence, hatred, and discrimination.

Regarding the United States, for example, he mocks the happiness caused by the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York and the supposed peaceful nature of the country, according to former President Barack Obama.

“The only peaceful ones are your dead, you son of a bitch,” he added alongside a meme of the former president.

In the Palestine-Israel conflict, he attacks “Zionist rats” and “bastards,” and posts a photo of the President of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, with his wife, stating that “both he and his hideous wife are uglier than a sack full of shit.”

About the priests, he states that they are “evil-born pigs,” linking them to cocaine trafficking while wishing death upon jihadists: “What bastards they are, a good sharp bayonet and gutting two or three of them, and you will see them run away.”

His social media messages also include others related to inciting violence, such as various assault rifles with the comment “setting up a fair booth” or a video about how the Chinese government treats the Uighur religious minority.

The Prosecutor’s Office considers the events to constitute a crime of incitement to hatred and also requests a fine of 1,620 Euros, professional disqualification for four years, and payment of court costs.

Furthermore, it orders the removal of all material posted on his Facebook profile. The trial is scheduled for next Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Provincial Court.
