Safety measures in traffic are evolving rapidly to protect vehicles travelling on the roads. Especially those with less protection, such as motorcycles or cyclists. Despite this, there is a road in Tenerife stuck in the past.
We’re talking about TF-13, one of the most frequented roads on the island. It connects various points in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, passing through Tegueste. Safety measures are noticeably lacking at one point in this municipality.
A traffic accident some time ago caused the breakage of the barriers anchored to the curb. Despite the time that has passed, and the fact that TF-13 is one of the roads where more renewal works are carried out, a makeshift solution accumulates in the area: construction barriers tied with caution tape.

A danger noted by @ApgbaezPsi that places this makeshift solution just above the football field of Los Laureles. A risk for both pedestrians and vehicles, as in the event of an accident, there is no protection.
Works on TF-13

The Tenerife Island Council has carried out various repairs on this road in recent times to keep it in the best possible conditions. The latest work is currently underway, where areas affecting access to Arenal Beach are being rehabilitated.

These works require the beach to be closed until at least June. For safety reasons, the public has been asked not to access the beach either by vehicle or on foot. The works are part of the comprehensive improvement of the two roads TF-13 and TF-16, involving an investment of €3.2 million.
