The ‘gastroneta’ belonging to the GoXo chain, owned by chef Dabiz Muñoz, was immobilised and fined by the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Tuesday for not having traffic insurance, as confirmed by sources from the police to EFE on Wednesday.
According to sources, the incident took place when the vehicle, travelling from Gran Canaria to Tenerife, was intercepted by local officers who discovered its lack of traffic insurance.
The police sources informed EFE that the ‘gastroneta’ was impounded and taken to the vehicle pound until the insurance issue was resolved, in addition to imposing a fine.
The GoXo restaurant van is planning to set up in a square within one of the commercial areas of the capital of Tenerife following its stint in Gran Canaria.
