SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 24th April. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The route running through the Teide National Park was discovered on Wednesday with graffiti featuring one of the slogans from the demonstration held last Saturday, ‘The Canary Islands have a limit’. This incident has been condemned by the Vice President and Minister of Tourism, Lope Afonso. .
“There will indeed be a limit for the Canary Islands, but this goes beyond it. Demands and protests should not escalate to acts of vandalism or targeting public property, especially against our environment and natural areas. The Teide National Park holds a UNESCO World Heritage status and warrants careful preservation and respect. This behaviour is simply unacceptable,” he posted on the social media platform ‘X’.
