The Development Society opens registration for the course “The keys to a successful showcase” and that will benefit 15 unemployed people. This has been communicated by the CEO of the Development Society, Alfonso Cabello, who explained that “until May 24, the registration period for this free training action will remain open and that we will teach in person at the Municipal Center of Training and Employment located in Miramar”.

In this way, the mayor has indicated that “this course, whose registration can be formalized from www.empleasantacruz.com/formacionwill last 20 hours, will be held from May 26 to June 2 and whose objective is to help understand and put into practice the basic concepts to follow for the realization of a successful showcase” and added that “it is focused on any commercial sector and what we intend is to explain in a simple and practical way the keys to take into account to make a shop window attractive and that this results in increased sales”.

In this sense, Cabello has underlined that “the contents of this training action will focus on the functions, objectives and typologies of shop windows, the fundamental elements that a shop window should contain and how to use them to improve customer attraction will be analyzed, as well as how the different existing techniques of commercial window dressing will be addressed and that they will be complemented with advice and basic strategies”, and highlighted that “the impact on sales and the psychological effects produced by a window display will also be analyzed, and the errors and tendencies of what should be a perfect showcase”.

“This training action is part of the line of collaboration that the Development Society is carrying out with various training centers on the Island, so that people who are completing the Training Teaching Professionalism Certificate Professional for Employment can carry out their internships as teachers”, explained Cabello, who added that “therefore, it is a line of work that will remain in time since we contemplate the implementation of more actions, of different specialties and directed to improving employability.

“From the Development Society we are promoting as many measures as are necessary to encourage consumption in commercial and restaurant establishments in our municipality, and one of them is also training, which is why we are promoting this free training action so that the people who wish they can improve their skills,” said the mayor, who also stated that “with this type of action we try to raise awareness of the importance of window dressing, since, in addition, commerce is one of the most important economic sectors of the municipality.”

In this way, Alfonso Cabello pointed out that “Santa Cruz has 1,538 commercial companies that represent 22% of all businesses in the municipality and 25.2% of all businesses in Tenerife”, and concluded that “the number of jobs directly related to the commercial sector is 21,528 jobs, which means that the municipality concentrates 35.2% of all employment in the sector on the Island, so this type of training action becomes suitable and necessary to improve the training of our productive fabric”.

People interested in participating in this free training action can register, before next May 24, through the website www.empleasantacruz.com/formacion.
