Man Suffers Injuries in Beach Hut Fire in Arona



A 40-year-old man of foreign descent has sustained burn injuries in a blaze that took place on Tuesday at Los Enojados beach, located in the municipality of Arona in southern Tenerife. This was reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. when the 1-1-2 emergency dispatch received a report from the Local Police regarding a fire in a beach hut and the need for medical attention for an injured individual. Consequently, Cecoes promptly mobilised the necessary emergency resources.

Upon arrival, firefighters worked to extinguish the fire that had affected the beach hut and nearby belongings. The staff from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) provided medical assistance to the injured person and then transported him to Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital in an ambulance due to suffering moderate burns. Local Police and the Civil Guard also assisted with coordinating the emergency response.
