The focus is on promoting quality processes in companies to enhance their competitiveness through the Tenerife Quality Observatory, as the Cabildo of Tenerife propels the initiative.
The platform instigated by the Commerce and Business Support area aims to foster a culture of quality on the island, serving as a nexus for information related to quality and bringing together companies, professionals, specialized entities, public and private organizations, as well as citizens.
Accompanied by Luis Domínguez, President Rosa Dávila, Vice President Lope Afonso, Minister of Commerce and Business Support Kirsten Martín, and Minister of Citizen Assistance and Quality of Services Candelaria Padrón, visited the Insular Center for Quality and Responsible Consumption on Wednesday.

The initiative includes 18 in-person workshops and 10 online sessions. It involves collaboration with consulting firms, who in turn work with various companies, mainly SMEs, to establish a quality department. This aims to ensure the provision of satisfactory services to clients and consumers and improve their competitiveness.
Lope Afonso emphasized the importance of guiding consumers in adopting responsible consumption habits, prevention, and training, as well as supporting companies in promoting and implementing quality policies.
Kirsten Martín explained that the Quality Observatory encourages companies to strive for excellence and align with sustainability and quality, aiming to also reach small and medium-sized companies to promote such policies and enhance their competitiveness in offering citizen-centric services.
The Tenerife Quality Observatory endeavors to generate and support initiatives that reinforce the foundations facilitating the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and excellence in companies and organizations on the island.
